Wasted Sunset

a beautiful evening by the beach
breathing the wind and watching planes fly
little kids with their kites
laughing away with glee
lovebirds strolling by the beach
taking sweet time enjoying each moment
as i sit and waited for the sunset
...skali cuaca plak mendung! =(

In the end, no sunset for me...sedih sak!

Blind man. Blind boy.

It was lunch.

I picked up the afternoon edition of my daily read.

I flipped through the pages.

A headline caught my attention.

'Where did it all go wrong?'

This is a true story: A blind man boards a crowded bus. Every seat is filled.

There is a partially-blind boy who is seated. He stands up and offers his seat to the blind man.

The boy remains standing because no one else offers his or her seat to him.

If I had harboured any hope that our society might become more gracious in such a situation, all that hope died the day I witnessed that act.

I had no seat to offer the boy but I wish I had been brave enough to speak up then. But I did not, which is a reason why I am writing this.

I take public transport daily and I witness inconsiderate behaviour by commuters every day.

You name it, I've seen it. But a partially-blind boy giving up his seat for a blind man in a bus full of people who have perfect vision - that takes the cake.

What is wrong with us? Why are so many people incapable of sparing a thought for someone other than themselves?

How is it that Singapore is such a developed country economically and infrastructurally, whereas its people are so sorely lacking in what matter most - compassion and empathy?

Where did it all go wrong?

I am sure some people think that such a situation is not that bad because there will always be some black sheep. My view is that that is just not good enough and that we should not settle for that.

...I began to ponder.

Many years ago, life was hard and miserable.

But people were more compassion and kind.

We yearn to be civilised.

But yet, we became uncivilised.

Mood masih lari...

Actually, aku masih takde mood lagi nie.

Nak buat kejer pon takde mood. Rasa sumer mcm tak kena. Buat tu salah, buat nie salah. Serba-serbi salah....

Kini aku lebih banyak mendiamkan diri. I'm just trying to pull myself back together again. It's tough, I know. But life has to go on....

Too many things being held back. Too many things to reschedule. It's all like going berserk. I don't need a break just yet. All I need is a little privacy.

I hope to be back to myself again in the next couple of days. I don't like what I'm going thru either.

But yeah, it's tough being me.

Cuaca sungguh panas sekali...

Fuuhhh...panas ler 2-3 hari nie. Masa aku jalan kat bawah tadi, bahang nyer amat terasa walopon aku berjalan ditempat yg teduh.

Tadi petang aku tak jadi minom teh panas. Nyonya buat teh tu tanyer kenapa aku tak nak minom teh dia hari nie? Aku cakap org giler jer minom teh panas bila cuaca tgh panas...teeheehehe!

Memula nak beli cendol tadi. Tapi, cendol dia tak best ahh pasal dia gunakan gula merah, bukan gula melaka. So aku beli ler ABC.(Ais kacang ler).

Apabila aku menyuap mulot aku dgn ice kacang yg sejuk lagi manis, terasa seperti badan aku nie disirami salju dari pergunungan alps. Perrgghh...alang kah nikmat ketika saat itu. Sungguh cooling sekali! Rasa kan mcm nak bergolek-golek jer aku dilantai kerana menikmati kenyamanan ice blended yg aku telan tuu...

Ais kacang yg setinggi gunung Everest tu, mampu aku 'hakis' dlm masa 5 minit jer. Lepas tu aku mencedok-cedok dan menghirup-hirup baki ais kacang yg dah tercair akibat heat wave yg melanda disekeliling aku.

Slurrppp......slurrrppp...... AaaaaaAaaaaAAAaaahhhhh...nikmat!!!!

Besok aku nak gie 7-11 beli slurpee plak ahh....

ps: Ketika cuaca panas mcm nie, amalkan minom air suam. Jgn selalu minom air sejuk kerana ianya lebih memudaratkan.
